If you need to cancel a Takealot order, follow the steps below based on whether you’ve paid for the order or not.

Cancelling an Unpaid Order

If you haven’t paid for your order yet, you can easily cancel it:

  1. Visit the Orders Page: Go to your Orders page.
  2. Select the Order: Find the specific order you wish to cancel.
  3. Cancel the Order: Click on the ‘Cancel Order’ button.

Cancelling a Paid Order

If you’ve already paid for your order, you’ll need to check if it’s eligible for cancellation:

  • Contact Customer Support: Reach out to Takealot’s customer service to see if your order can still be canceled.

Making Changes to Your Order

Once your order is placed, you cannot add or remove items. However, for selected orders, you might be able to:

  • Reschedule the Delivery Date: You can adjust the delivery date through your Orders page if eligible.
  • Update Delivery Address: Changing the delivery address is not possible after placing an order.
  • Modify Shipping Method: For some orders, you can alter the shipping method.
  • Cancel an Order Item: Contact customer support if you wish to cancel a specific item within your order.

Cancelling After Delivery or Collection Notification

If you’ve received a delivery or collection notification via SMS but still wish to cancel the order:

  • Contact Customer Support: Use the Contact Us option on the Takealot website to initiate the cancellation.
